A small crew, a big tipper and no messing about

Keep It Green started at the beginning of 2026 and, honestly, took off faster than expected. It is run by Tyler, working out of Plymouth, and it grew almost entirely on word of mouth — one garden, then the neighbour's, then somebody's mum's.

What we actually do

Garden clearances are the bulk of it. Somebody rings because the garden has been left for a year, or three, and they cannot face it. We clear it, and then a lot of those customers stay on for a fortnightly or monthly cut so it never gets back to that.

Around that sits everything else a garden needs: hedges cut, shaped, reduced or taken out; trees felled and stumps removed; patios and drives jet washed; and green waste and household rubbish taken away, whether or not there is a garden job attached to it.

Where the waste goes

This is the bit worth being specific about, because plenty of operators in this trade are not. Green waste goes to the tip at Chelson Meadow in Plymouth. Household waste goes to a licensed transfer station where it is sorted and as much as possible is recycled. Every customer gets a waste transfer note for what leaves their property.

That note matters more than most people realise. Under UK law the duty of care for household waste sits with the householder — so if waste from your garden turns up fly-tipped in a lane, it is your name on the trail, not the person you paid. The note is your evidence that it went to a licensed carrier and a licensed site.
