This site sets one strictly necessary cookie, and — only if you accept — analytics cookies. This page lists all of them, what they do and how long they last.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work at all. Others are used to measure how a site is being used. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we may only set the non-essential ones with your consent, which is what the banner is for.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page. Strictly necessary, so it is set without consent. | About 6 months |
Analytics cookies (only after you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. Google Analytics sets the cookies below. None of them is set unless you press Accept on the banner — the site tells Google to withhold analytics storage by default, and only releases it when you consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted. | About 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Keeps track of the current session for Google Analytics 4. | About 2 years |
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not track you across websites — it only counts page views in aggregate. Because it sets no cookies, it needs no consent and runs regardless of your choice on the banner.
Change your choice
You can change your mind whenever you like. Use the button below to reopen the cookie banner and accept or reject again.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break this site — nothing here depends on a cookie to function. Instructions for each browser are on aboutcookies.org.
